What is CPCT?
CPCT is a Computer Based Test

eligibility criterion for specific government jobs where computer and typing
knowledge are basic requirements.
The exam is conducted by the Madhya
Pradesh Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (MAP-IT) , the nodal
agency for the test.

CPCT Scoring and Qualification

(NWPM) and then scaled to a percentage score.
Minimum Passing Criteria:
a. MCQ Section: 38 Marks (out of
75)
b. English Typing: 30 NWPM
c. Hindi Typing: 20 NWPM
How Scaled Scoring Works:
Your typing speed will be
converted into a percentage score on your certificate.
For English Typing:
a. 30–40 NWPM = 50.00%
b. 41–50 NWPM = 60.00%
c. And so on, up to 100% for 81+ NWPM.
For Hindi Typing (Unicode):
a. 20–25 NWPM = 50.00%
b. 26–30 NWPM = 60.00%
- And so on, up to 100% for 51+ NWPM.
What the Scorecard Means:
a. You will receive a scorecard
for each exam you take.
b. You will be declared
"Qualified" for the skills where you score 50% or above.
c. You can use your
highest-scoring scorecard for job applications.
d. Government departments will
accept a single CPCT scorecard to validate your skills.
